Professional Doula & Childbirth Education Services

Doulas are professional trained in pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum support.  They provide emotional, physical, psychological and educational support to the expecting and new families.  They are not medical professional.  American Pregnancy Association

Studies show that childbirth education reduces stress and anxiety and improves maternity care outcomes. Parents

I support natural, medicated (epidural), and c-section births.  I have experience support families that desire an hospital birth, a homebirth, a birth-center birth.

Breastfeeding/Chestfeeding is a personal decision.  However, WHO recommends breastmilk exclusively (no formula, juice, or water) for the first six month of life.  Breastmilk is the best food for babies. It is safe, free, healthy and contains antibodies and nutrients.

Doulas and midwives are different. They both assist families during pregnancy, birth and postpartum, but in different ways.

Midwives are medical professional.  Doulas are trained professional who provide well-being and education support.

A midwife is a health care provider, while a doula is more of a childbirth coach.
