“It was like my wife had a second partner there, except Odile actually knew what she was doing. Trust me: you will be very glad you hired Odile”. – Leo
Doulas are trained professionals in pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum support. They provide emotional, physical, psychological, and educational support to expecting and new families. They are not a medical professional. Birth doulas are sometimes referred to as labor coach or birth coach.

Studies show that childbirth education reduces stress and anxiety and improves maternity care outcomes. Parents-to-be build confidence, learn about the physiological process of giving birth, understand their options. Yes, you do! I’m a doula, and I support natural childbirth, medicated (epidural) births, and c-section births. I have experience support families that desire a hospital birth, a home birth, a birth center birth. If you have an epidural, I will help you to optimize your chances of having a vaginal birth.
Doulas and midwives are different. They both assist families during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum, but in different ways. Midwives are a medical professional. Birth doulas are trained professionals who provide well-being and education support. A midwife is a health care provider, while a doula is more of a childbirth coach who provides education, information, emotional and physical support during birth.
It is essential to find and build your tribe for breastfeeding help and breastfeeding support.
